Moving to the UAE

Heading out to Dubai and beyond

We advise and guide you through the process both ways, and connect you with the right specialists to handle the official side.

Qualified elsewhere?

We'll check if your qualification counts

Trained overseas or anywhere else? Many qualifications aren’t recognised by REPs UAE, and it’s easy to find out too late. Send us your certification and we will check whether it’s recognised & accepted. If it is, brilliant. If not, we’ll get you on the right course so you’re recognised and ready to work. This isn’t only for people who trained with us, we are happy to help everyone.

Your goal

Work for a gym, or work for yourself

Once you’re qualified and set up, there are two ways to go. We’ll help with either.

Work in a gym

The route most people take. Get qualified, registered and set up to work, then look for a role at an established gym or studio. We’ll help you be job-ready, with the right qualification, a strong CV and interview confidence.

Start your own business

Ready to be your own boss? We’ll guide you and connect you with partners who set up your company, licence and everything you need to trade, in the UAE.

Good to know

Promoting yourself in the UAE? You'll need a permit

Building a personal brand on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube is part of the job for many trainers, but in the UAE it’s regulated. Since February 2026, anyone advertising on social media from within the UAE needs an Advertiser Permit from the UAE Media Council, alongside a trade or freelance licence that covers media activity.

It applies more widely than people expect: it covers paid and unpaid promotion, whatever your follower count, and even posting in exchange for free products or services counts. So if you’re promoting your own PT services, a gym or a brand, you’re caught by it.

It’s easy to get caught out, so we’ll make sure you know exactly what’s needed, and our UAE setup partners can sort the licence side for you as part of your business setup.

This is general guidance to point you in the right direction. For your own situation, always check with the UAE Media Council or your setup partner.
