Some stuff is way beyond us.
The wellness arena is vast, so it makes zero sense to try to learn about everything. If you are going to lead you need to know when to engage experts.
That’s how and why we appointed Evelyn Mair to the GAIN Board.
Evelyn Mair is the Co-Founder and Director of FitIQ Education & Sports Coaching Services registered in both the UK and UAE, bringing over 30 years of expertise in health, fitness, and wellness, combined with more than two decades in management across both public and private sectors. Widely recognized as an advocate for community health and an ambassador for women’s and children’s wellbeing, Evelyn dedicates her career to driving meaningful impact across diverse groups.
A passionate speaker, she has contributed to influential platforms including The Period Place, Aberdeen Wellness Festival, Pillow Talk, Aberdeen Science Festival, and Scotland’s first-ever Women’s Health Event. She has also championed initiatives in schools, supporting the Free Period Bill, delivering wellness talks for students and teachers, helping young women navigate challenges around physical education during key developmental stages.
During COVID, Evelyn launched her own Children’s Fitness business, creating engaging, confidence-building classes as a qualified Children’s Fitness Coach. She also founded an online women’s health community of over 350 members, providing education and support on a wide range of female topics.
A strong advocate for women in business, Evelyn thrives on empowering women to recognize strengths, develop new skills, and create opportunities for both career growth and community impact.
Evelyn and her fella, Graeme Mair, are quite the power couple. (Think Posh & Becks of the wellness world) 🤩
PS Look out for the work she is doing with the Shifting Diabetes crew.
