Course Description
The First Aid at Work (FAW) qualification is a comprehensive, 3-day training programme designed for individuals who require an advanced level of first aid knowledge and responsibility in the workplace. It is ideal for medium- and high-risk environments, including construction, manufacturing, engineering, hospitality, transport, education settings, and leisure facilities such as gyms, leisure centres, sports clubs, swimming pools, and activity venues.
Over three days, learners develop strong practical skills and theoretical understanding to confidently assess and treat a wide range of injuries and medical emergencies. This course meets the requirements set by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and is recognised across the UK.

Assessment & Certification
Assessment includes:

Practical demonstrations – CPR, AED use, casualty management, injury treatment

Scenario-based assessment – responding to accidents and medical conditions

Written or multiple-choice assessment – confirming underpinning knowledge

Continuous trainer observation throughout practical tasks
Successful learners receive a Level 3 First Aid at Work certificate, valid for 3 years. A 2-day FAW Requalification course is required before the certificate expires. Annual refreshers are recommended.

Learners must be physically able to perform CPR and practical skills
